Our little boy who is 5 1/2 months is great during the day but will not take his bottle before bed. As soon as he feels or sees the teat he goes mental, screaming and crying like your offering him acid. He is weaning at the moment and he eats his solids with his milk lovely during the day. Can I not give him something other than milk before bed? As I am sure he would take fruit or a rusk or something? A:When is his feed before that? maybe he's not hungry yet?My daughter went through a thing with baths before bed when she was going through a growth spurt, i thought maybe she accosicated it with bed, how longs he been like it? maybe its a growth spurt if its only been a few days? My daughters bedtime routine is play till she gets cranky, bath then 1/2- 3/4 rusk and her normal amount of milk, then put her to bed with dummy, sometimes asleep sometimes wide awake, she'll get to sleep herself, if not ill giver her an ounce in bed and shee nod off. does your LO have a routine? maybe if you tire him out before his bottle he'll be more hungry? usually you do give baby milk before bed but if you LO is happy enough to just have rusk and sleeps through then its up to you.
